Bridey is a freelance writer based in Washington, D.C. Her areas of interest include book reviews, author interviews, film, and international politics.
Her writing on books has been published at The Daily Beast, The Guardian, The London Magazine, Broadly, Paste, and others. After growing up in rural Illinois, Bridey studied Political Science at DePaul University (BA 2010) and International Affairs at Washington University in Saint Louis (MA 2013). Her area of focus is comparative politics, with emphasis on Iranian domestic politics since 1979. Her MA thesis, Iranian Democracy: A Century of Struggle, Setback, and Progress, can be found here.
