How was your Halloween? Our building has a long standing tradition of tenants handing out candy together, and it's one of my favorite parts of the night! The above picture is actually our street, which is shut down every year for trick or treaters! Today D.C. is dark and dreary, perfect for curling up and recooperating. With tea in hand, I'm ready to spend the day being lazy, and reading this amazing book, which I will be reviewing in the next two weeks on Literally, Darling!
In other news, my piece on self-care was picked up by Elite Daily! It seems to have struck a chord with a lot of readers, which is an amazing thing to see! I think the message of the piece is important, and I'm glad others see the worth in fighting back against the constant push of busy.
One final piece of business on this November (!!!) morning: I wrote a style guide for one of my favorite humans and it went live yesterday at Literally, Darling. I'm not a style writer, but my love of Carrie Brownstein knows no limits, so when asked who I would say is my style icon, I had to pick her!
